Silk Hill stables offers fabulous accomodation in very scenic surroundings. From the gate the famous Kinder Scout can be seen and there are many picturesque walks from the doorstep.

The cottage has a pleasant covered patio area with seating and BBQ which is great for sitting outside in the long summer nights. The cottage is located on a country lane right on the Buxworth and Whaley Bridge border.

The Kinder plateau is surrounded with rocky crags and to the west is the Kinder River which flows into the spectacular waterfall called Kinder Downfall. To the east of Kinder is further high land heading towards "Hope Cross" which links Kinder to Win Hill and the Hope Valley.

Within the Hope Valley area is Castleton which offers stunning views of Mam Tor and the famous Winnat's Pass, with many interesting caves containing the rare semi precious stone - Blue John
